Are Lip Fillers right for me?

Your lips are seen by everyone. Saying that, lip enhancement is something you should think carefully about and my advice is to start with small enhancements. Additionally, if you feel this procedure is for you why not book a free, no obligation, consultation.

How do Lip Fillers work?

Lip augmentation involves lip fillers being injected into the soft tissue of the lips to enhance their size and shape. To prevent discomfort, a numbing agent is used so you don’t feel the needle during this procedure!

Enhancements include:

  • Fuller volume
  • Shape and definition
  • Enhanced Structure

What can I expect at my appointment?

Lip fillers contain Hyaluronic acid, we also use it to correct facial lines. If you’ve had this procedure before you may be familiar with this product. Moreover, the procedure will take up to 45 minutes depending on the amount of product required to achieve the desired enhancement.

Lip Augmentation (fillers) Treatment FAQ’s

The results you get depend on the look that you want to achieve and how much filler is injected. Importantly, before the treatment the doctor will take time to discuss with you the desired look and the ways in which this can be achieved.

It depends on the look you are going for

The injections can be given into the boarder of the lips and the pinks of the lips themselves. Though, it depends on the look we are wanting to create which will depend on where the injections are placed.

The treatment lasts approximately nine months although due to different people have different metabolisms this can be shorter or longer depending.

The amount of injections is variable to the look that is aiming to be achieved and the amount of filler being injected. The number of injections is approximately 15.

The lips can be numbed in one of two ways. Either numbing cream can be applied to the lips or a dental local anaesthetic block can be given. The dental block is an injection gives complete numbness to the area but can cause the movement of the lips to change too which some people do not like the feeling of. This lasts approximately five hours. The numbing cream does not completely block the pain of the injections but will ease it. The numbing cream has no effect on the movement of the lips.
